Here is a growing list of Canadian funds and charities which may be of interest to you, as a Golden Retriever Enthusiast.

Pet Trust Fund at the Ontario Veterinary College - "The Pet Trust Fund promotes the health, health care and quality of life of companion animals. We support studies and special projects that improve the quality of care pets receive and lead to advances in veterinary medicine. Our donors say that supporting Pet Trust is a loving way to cherish the memory of a beloved pet, or to celebrate a special animal or animal lover."

BC SPCA Powell River & District Branch - The Powell River & District Branch of the BC SPCA is a nonprofit organization staffed entirely with volunteers. We do not have a shelter location and all of the animals available for adoption are housed at foster homes.

The Farley Foundation - The Farley Foundation helps sick and injured pets that belong to low-income seniors and people with disabilities.

PADS - Pacific Assistance Dogs Society - PADS is a non-profit organization that is located in Burnaby, British Columbia. PAD's mission is to raise and train dogs for people who are facing the daily challenges of life with a disability other than blindness, in order to provide a greater level of independence and an enhanced quality of life.


SmilingBlueSkies.com - The Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund is a fund devoted to providing financial assistance for the advancement of health, health care, and quality of life, for companion animals. Named after a very special Golden Retriever named "Blues" who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

CNIB's Guide Dog Assistance Fund - The Canadian National Institute for the Blind's Guide Dog Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to guide dog handlers who have extraordinary veterinary expenses. Registered Canadian charities that organize conferences or workshops related to guide dogs and their handlers may also receive financial assistance for these events from the Fund.

The Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Service Inc. - The Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Service Inc., also known as Golden Rescue, is a registered federal charity dedicated to rescuing abandoned and unwanted purebred Golden Retrievers.

Ontario SPCA - The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to the welfare of all animals - from birds to bats, rats to raccoons, dogs to deer and cats to cows.
